1) To please God in worship.  Jesus said, “True worshippers will worship the Father in spirit and truth.” (John 4:23).  To do that, we need the right heart:  humble, grateful, loving, repentant, obedient, and committed to trust in Him.  We also need the right mind and actions, guided by the writings of the Holy Spirit in the Bible (2 Peter 1:20-21; 2 Timothy 3:16-17).

“Let us show gratitude, by which we may offer to God an acceptable service with reverence and awe; for our God is a consuming fire." (Hebrews 12:28-29)

2) To help each other get to Heaven.  Paul wrote, “Bear one another’s burdens, and thereby fulfill the law of Christ.”  (Galatians 6:2).  In addition to praising God, we’re here to build each other up, to support each other, to challenge and encourage each other to make God our first priority, to press on through trials, and to stay strong in temptation. 

“Let us consider how to stimulate one another to love and good deeds, not forsaking our own assembling together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another all the more as you see the day drawing near.” (Hebrews 10:24-25)

3) To reach the lost.  Sadly, so many today don’t know Jesus died to save them, and if they’ve heard, they don’t know why.  We want to share that good news with as many people as possible.  Jesus said, “I am the Way, the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.” (John 14:6).  It’s our sincere desire to help people find Jesus, the Way. 

“For I am not ashamed of the good news about Jesus, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes.” (Romans 1:16a).
