Urgency
A former coach of mine was known for saying, ‘get with it” and, as I recall, his words were directed to me on several occasions. It worked! I also recall “getting with it” when he said “get with it!”
I’m not sure if the apostle Paul ever used the exact words of Coach Louis Sanford, but Paul did say, “And do this, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep; for now our salvation is nearer than when we first believed. The night is far spent, the day is at hand. Therefore let us cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light” (Romans 13:11-12).
All the lessons I plan to present during this meeting (especially Monday-Friday), will stress the URGENCY of “getting with it” spiritually. I am quite confident that you will hear little, if any, that you have not already heard. I am also confident that you, like me, need to be reminded of things you are established in (2 Peter 1:12). My prayer is that these lessons will instruct and encourage you to realize that the time to act is now.
Paul and Peter fill their inspired writings with admonitions toward awareness of time and the reasons why we must all pay such close attention to the important things in life that will affect our eternal destiny.
All I ask you to bring is an open bible, and open mind and a willing spirit.
I’m very glad to be with you and pray our time together is helpful. I can guarantee that the messages will be urgent, for us all!
