Evangelism Challenge: Be Unashamed

Evangelism Challenge: Be Unashamed

Jesus said, “For whoever is ashamed of Me and My words, the Son of Man will be ashamed of him when He comes in His glory, and the glory of the Father and of the holy angels” (Luke 9:26).  Let’s face it, sometimes we’re ashamed—ashamed to mention Christ at work or at school; ashamed to stand up for our beliefs to our friends or relatives; ashamed to talk about spiritual things with strangers.

Your new evangelism challenge is simple. Next time you’re tempted to be silent about your faith, speak up. Don’t sit idly by and let the opportunity pass you by. Push yourself out of your comfort zone, don’t worry about what other people think, and speak up!

Paul said, “I am not ashamed of the gospel” (Rom. 1:16). Every single one of us should be able to say the same thing!
