Marriage Challenge: Pray With Your Spouse
The “Evangelism Challenge” series of articles has come to an end. Today a new series takes its place: “Marriage Challenge.” Each article will contain a simple challenge to improve our marriages in different ways.
The first challenge is to start praying with your spouse. When a husband and wife pray together, they draw closer to God as a team. There is a synergy produced through praying together that cannot be produced by praying separately.
If you aren’t accustomed to praying with your spouse, begin by doing it just once. And keep the prayer short if you are worried you won’t know what to say. You’ll find it’s easier than you thought. And you’ll want to do it again the next day. And the next. Which is exactly what I recommend.
“Devote yourselves to prayer, keeping alert in it with an attitude of thanksgiving” -Colossians 4:2
