Marriage Challenge: Stop Criticizing
Marriage Challenge: Stop Criticizing
Familiarity breeds contempt. This is especially true in marriage. We pick our spouses apart because we’re sick and tired of how they do nearly everything. Hopefully your marriage is different. Statistically, it probably isn’t.
There’s certainly a time and place for criticism, when done the right way. Excessive criticism, however, drains your spouses love tank.
Your new marriage challenge is to stop unfairly criticizing your spouse. I realize this change won’t happen overnight. So simply try to go 24 hours without saying a single negative thing to your spouse.
“Do not judge so that you will not be judged. For in the way you judge, you will be judged; and by your standard of measure, it will be measured to you.” -Matthew 7:1-2
