Marriage Challenge: Use Words of Affirmation
Marriage Challenge: Use Words of Affirmation
In the book The Five Love Languages, Gary Chapman says, “Verbal compliments, or words of appreciation, are powerful communicators of love.” He’s absolutely right. For some of us, this is our primary love language.
How often do you compliment your spouse? Perhaps not nearly enough. Your new marriage challenge is to give more compliments in your marriage.
For the next two weeks, pay special attention to the positive attributes of your spouse, and let them know them how amazing those attributes are as often as you can. In other words, shower your spouse with praise. See if it makes a difference in your marriage. My guess is, it will make a HUGE difference.
“How beautiful you are, my darling,
How beautiful you are!
Your eyes are like doves.”
