10 Things Every Christian Should Resolve To Do
Daniel, when taken captive into Babylonian captivity, purposed in his heart not to be defiled with the king’s wine and choice food (Daniel 1:8). We should purpose in our heart to serve God faithfully in every aspect of life. Here is a list of ten things every Christian should resolve to do:
10. Only use speech that is pure and uplifting (Ephesians 4:29).
9. Be quick to hear, slow to speak, and slow to anger (James 1:19).
8. Serve others with humility and patience (John 13:12-20).
7. Forgive and love your enemies (Matthew 6:14-15; 5:43-48).
6. Avoid complaining and rejoice in the Lord always (Philippians 2:14; 4:4).
5. Pray often and with an attitude of thanksgiving (1 Thessalonians 5:17-18).
4. Read, study, and meditate in God’s word regularly (Acts 17:11; Psalm 1:2).
3. Build deep relationships with your brethren (Acts 2:46).
2. Consistently reach out to the lost (Matthew 28:19-20).
1. Become more and more like Jesus with every passing day (1 Peter 2:21-22).
Making the decision to do these things is crucial for any faithful disciple. Following through on them is even more so. May God give us the strength to do both!
